The area around your stay is pure Pennsylvania countryside—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. Stalker Hill Road is a scenic, winding stretch with rolling hills, open fields, and dense woodlands that change beautifully with the seasons. It’s a safe, rural setting where the biggest sounds you’ll hear at night are crickets and the occasional owl. Just down the road, you’ll find Stalker Hill Farm, a charming spot with fresh produce in season, and the nearby Stillwater Dam offers a great place for fishing or a peaceful walk by the water. Our stay was wonderful. The cabin is a lot more spacious in my opinion than the photos show which was great. The common area is very spacious. there are enough grils for multiple cabins to cook at once. their is an outdoor full fridge as well. The hot tub was wonderful. We played corn hole, connect 4 and ring toss. We didnt use the fire pit but the area around it is nice. The 4 cabins are close to each other but private enough. The cabin was very clean and we had a nice getaway. We will definitely be back and enjoyed our stay.

Lovely, peaceful, private cabin. Lisa was a fantastic and very responsive host throughout our stay. The directions and guest instructions were very clear, the place was exactly as described, check in and access were very straightforward. We look forward to our next visit.

Getting around here is pretty straightforward, but you'll definitely want a car. This is classic rural Pennsylvania—no buses, no Ubers on demand, just open roads and peaceful drives. Parking is never an issue, whether at the cabin or anywhere in town. If you’re heading into Thompson or nearby towns like Susquehanna or Honesdale, everything is spread out, so plan for a drive. The roads are well-maintained, but if you're visiting in winter, be prepared for some snow-covered backroads. Biking is an option for short trips, but most people stick to their cars. If you're up for a scenic drive, Route 171 will take you through rolling hills and into town, where you’ll find small diners, markets, and the essentials. Note: we are on country roads but they are always well maintained and promptly plowed when it snows.
